CECOSESOLA is a cooperative network based in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. Several of our classmates as well as a couple of members of the Olympia food cooperative volunteered in the “feria”, or marketplace that sells produce, packaged foods, household cleaners and cosmetics, among other products. Other people volunteered in the associated cooperatives 8 de Marzo, which makes pasta; Moncar, a salsa making cooperative; Las Lajitas, an organic farm; Esfuerzo y Compromiso, which makes bread; and Tulipan, which makes vanilla extract and cleaning products.
